Dumitru Fărcaş (Groşi, Maramureş, Romania, 12 May 1938 – 7 August 2018) was a Romanian taragot and oboe player. He played the instruments on all major stages in the world and made the taragot known all over the world. The taragot is a Hungarian/Romanian/Turkish reed instrument related to the saxophone and clarinet.
